The whole idea that America is immediately heading down the path of Nazi Germany or is it "Soviet Russia" or is it "the fall of Rome" is predicated on nothing more than wishful thinking and/or fear.
The idea that everyone can see it happen but Americans themselves is incredibly naive. One comes to such opinions not through some unique or brilliant analysis but rather by repeating the views of one's neighbors.
It should be obvious but the same people that think comparing Saddam or KIM Chong-il or whomever else is the "Evil Dictator of the Moment" to Hitler is not credible make an even more outrageous claim in comparing Bush to Hitler. Get out your Hitler "Riser to power" flow charts and do the work yourself.
