95K seems a bit on the heavy side for a background image. Pull it into PS and drop contrast, compress it down to about 20% and feather the edges into black. You can get that size of an image down to 10K easily and still be acceptable for a backdrop.
And darken it up some! That's a site about witches, not fairies...
