I'm curious to know how many of you think Bush may have knew about 9/11 and failed to act in order to strip the constitution and gain popularity? I know its far fetched but it is exactly what the Nazis did, they burned the Reichstag (German Parliament) and blamed it on the Communists. The very next day they invoked Article 48 of the Weimar Constitution, which permited the suspension of civil liberties in time of national emergency.

Interesting facts:

1. CBS reporter David Martin revealed that weeks before the attacks, the CIA had warned Bush personally of Osama Bin Laden?s intent to use hijacked planes as missiles. That followed the damaging exposure by The Associated Press?s John Solomon of a pre-9/11 FBI memo from an officer in Phoenix warning of suspicious Middle Eastern men training at flight schools?a warning that went unheeded.

So why, at 9:03 a.m. - fifteen minutes after it was clear the United States was under terrorist attack - did President Bush sit down with a classroom of second-graders and begin a 20-minute pre-planned photo op?
