I grew up in "show houses" and that my mother had professionally redecorated every few years (she and my SIL get along beautifully - natch). But I'm the only one who has to live here and I decorated it for ME - just like everyone should do.

I just think the gold and the molding clash.. if you did the highlights in perhaps an off-white or even the same red.. but if you like it, it's good on ya man
