Carrie, the funny thing is I have tourist stopping in front of my house all the time taking photos - like the house is a plantation or something. The house is old, over 50 years.... I should have torn it down.... but I did not and eventually replaced everthing in it but the exterior walls and slab... It would have been much cheaper to just knock it down and build a brand new house.
Live and learn. My Tampa house is much nicer.... but the NO house has the land. It is the best part, like living in a park. Nice walks on the levee with the dogs. I have 2 Ospreys ( Eagles) that live on the land, a family of foxs, and a bunch of other criters....
The best part is I am only 15 minutes away from Bourbon St. Thing is I will eventually have to develop the land into a subdivison.

The property taxs keep going up, so it would be suicide to try and hold on to all 45 acres when the zoning is changing.
