In the past I've done stuff like that and I found there were 2 issues.
1. Each additional step you make potential customers take, you loose a small percentage of possible sales. It also makes you look like a possible scam
2. Anything other than "insert credit card number here and you'll get this" grows the number of stupid people attacking the support button.
