This.
I started off doing sheetrock and tile work when i was around 17 ish.
Now i own 2 companies in Lousiana that do just that, regular paycheck for me and the team of guys doing the work, there will
always be a need for hard grafters, no matter the trade, we're currently working on a setting up 2 similar businesses in the North-East of England.
I think somewhere between the late 90s and mid 2000s people lost sight of that with the tech boom and, today we see the end results, on a global scale, not just in the US, UK and Canada... Benefit usage is up across the board, mental health issues are up across the board (hi Huggles) and substance addiction is up across the board (hi again Huggles), there are also way more people with nothing to show of their lives who are just happen to create fake rage over the dumbest shit (hey Huggles again!) or decide that they suddenly want to identify as a carrot.
The world went crazy and its only getting worse because even governments are pandering to the mentally unstable these days.
