Welcome to the world of KYC. Everyone is legally required to do things like they are asking to satisfy banking regulators. It's not just Paxum. Even to be an affiliate you have to jump through these hoops.
It's a new world out there and companies are being forced into making sure you are who you say you are and that you do what you say you do by having you prove it to them.
