Or perhaps, reward you. If say, you are heavily into shemale porn, and you also run a shemale site, might it give you an 'authority boost' as it knows you really are a shemale fan? On the other hand, if you never search for shemale porn, might it penalize your site as pure affiliate marketing?
As far as the OP's question is concerned, I've read that Google penalizes non GDPR compliant sites, but I've never noticed any ranking benefit to adding cookie optout popups.
