the US isn't near the top of the list of nations one is most likely to get shot in, but yeah, definitely takes a massive lead among so-called 'first world' countries. either way though, the world shouldn't be something to be afraid of

according to the article the suspect was arrested a few days later. he's accused of being part of a motorcycle stealing ring in the area where Chris got killed, and the cops allege that he also committed another random killing a few days earlier
would guess (obvs just a guess) that he was targeted cuz he was out alone, easier to pull a gun on one person than a group of friends
really sad, disliked the dude but no one should check out that way
