Here's some inspiration to get some juices flowing. Just another one of those let's fck the regular folk laws that I was recently reminded about it.
There is a federal law that restricts robocalls -- the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), enacted by Congress. This law prevents you and I from making robocalls, however, it's important to note that the TCPA doesn't make all robocalls illegal. There are specific exceptions:
Political Calls: Political campaigns are generally allowed to use robocall methods for informational purposes or to solicit donations.
Got it, ok for politicians, not for the regular folk!
*Not disputing the fact that the robocalls can definitely be annoying, but they can be equally or more annoying for political reasons.
