That may be a risk you're willing to take, but clearly they aren't.

Blaming the site operator is the wrong course of action. They are not being stupid or losing out on money--no, they are, in theory, preventing huge losses due to lawsuits or sanctions. I don't know them, but that was clearly their risk assessment.

Ultimately, the UK population has decided that this is what they're okay with. Their politicians and government decided this was necessary. If the population disagrees with this, then they need to uniformly push their representatives to change course. That may mean voting in different representation.

It's no different in southern states in the United States. This is what people voted for. We need to stop blaming site operators for trying to stay afloat and risk averse, and start blaming the authorities in charge and the populations for voting those authorities into place.
Well I have to disagree. There is no risk at all for them to let everyone see a landing page with a detailed explanation of what their sites are about and how often they are updated ect... They can even have some safe for work images. Look at Only Tease:

https://www.onlytease.com/

Only Tease are a big site and must know what they are doing. But I can view all the images on their site. There's no nudity and I'm 100% sure they are all safe for work. The Wank it Now sites could have some safe for work images of their models. No risk at all. If Ofcom look at their site and dispute some of the images are not safe for work the site owners can take them down on contest that. Ofcom could not fine them I'm 100% sure. Their images are really tame.

Maybe the Wank it Now sites are just testing this out to see how many people will go through age verification. I'll keep an eye on their sites.
