Hey there!
This is my first day here and my first post — and honestly, I think I’ve just found my dream job. I’m obsessed with organizing, sorting, structuring, and all the tiny details
I’ve actually done this kind of work before, but in an unofficial way. Still, I was way more organized than my teammates. No one asked us to add tags, categories, or follow a naming format — but I did all that on my own just because I genuinely love making things neat, attractive, and well-structured.
On my own site, I took things even further:
I set a daily goal for how many videos to upload, making sure categories are well balanced.
I handpick videos from other platforms, organize them in a draft folder, and rename them using SEO-friendly formats and matching categories.
I wrote a Python script that encodes videos to reduce size, extract thumbnails and screenshots, and unify video formats.
I also built another script that reads categories from filenames (e.g., if it sees “cucumber,” it puts it under vegetables). I made sure the filenames are already optimized for this kind of keyword parsing.
The same script uploads the videos to the hosting server, auto-generates a proper slug, and outputs all the metadata into a clean JSON file (title, thumbnail URL, video URL, duration, categories, tags, and upload date).
I genuinely believe I’m a great fit for this kind of work because I actually enjoy doing it — organizing, archiving, and always looking for ways to make the whole process smoother and smarter over time.
Would love to chat and figure out a workflow we can both build on.
