There's an even wackier, yet real, end goal beyond this. Some people feel like they are going extinct/being replaced on earth, and there's actual credible science to back it up as the world continues to get hotter and less hospitable for their kind (they evolved in the cold).
They need their people actually mating and not beating off alone in their bedrooms and such. They also need them to not have abortions. Can't manifest your people's global parasitic destiny and send them to the much cooler mars to save them from their environmental destruction here if your people are going extinct because of their freedom to jerk off to porn and get abortions.
