Well, "we" fucked the whole thing up by supporting tube sites like pornhub that gave away nasty porn for free. No membership required. This industry jumped on it like a fatted cow, and this industry bears a lot of blame for this regulatory mess. Greed got us here, and greed won't save us.
Look in the mirror and stop pointing fingers at regulators. If we had stayed wrapped up in plastic bags on the top shelf, this would probably have been overlooked by a lot of wives of legislators.
