I have no evidence of this, but I think some alcoholics must have a gene that converts alcohol into caffeine (not really, but becomes a stimulant) because when I drink, I eventually hit a wall of a comfortable drunken slumber, and sometimes I have the nicest little drunk cat naps, but I've had friends that when they drink, it wakes them up, and if they keep drinking they keep staying awake... but the longer they drink for, the more crazy their behavior comes, and then the crack or cocaine is going, and next thing you know the sun is rising and everyone is jonsing for more booze and maybe you find a bottle in the freezer to last until the liquor store opens and then the most sober person drives to pick up at 10 AM, then when they get back to the crib with the 60oz and beers, everyone power dials the dealer and then they deliver at 12 Noon and then people head to the beach in the summer like that... so fucking crazy if you really get into the alcoholic and coke head lifestyle. You can go for 48+ hours drinking hundreds of dollars of booze and coke and just be living in a crazy manic headspace... until the coke or booze or money runs out!
