renewing a passport isn't that expensive. not sure of the duration of passport validity in the UK but in Canada you can get one that lasts 10 years
I'm shocked that anyone, in any nation, can operate in adult in any capacity without a valid photo ID
seriously, renew your passport. not cuz of PH but cuz you WILL encounter this issue again. just get it done
