And aside from that, think about it for a few seconds. If you have a niche that converts really well, and you post about it on gfy, a few dozen new people will get into that niche. If you have a really good sponsor, and you post about it on gfy, a few dozen new people will try that sponsor as well. Now, if you tell about how you got site x.com to #x in google in a very short period of time, you will have at least a few dozen people looking at your source code and backlinks and trying to do the same.
Having nothing to hide does not mean it's a smart idea to shout of the rooftops what you did. Not even when people could have found it out all by themselves. A simple "I got one of my clients in the top 10 for a popular search term on google" probably would have been a better idea.
