i can't fault you. marketing is a full-time job.
there's new channels and strategies every year. you have to keep up to grow.
i understand being comfortable. i hit that point all the time. however stability and stagnation always lead to decline. its a law of growth.
partnering with a marketing person is good, if you can find one who keeps up with new trends and won't cheat on their timesheets. a stagnating marketer might as well go work at a restaurant (and they probably do!)
i know some marketers who have been doing the exact same campaigns for years. you can see the gradual declines in their sales.
so yea, marketing is crucial, and also hard work
