You are right, it is the first time I know that GMAIL also offers this technique, but adding +whatever after username is not always a good method because websites always check for this and wont let you create other accounts using this technique in case you have already a registred one. but with -whatever insteaed of +whatever everything goes well , adding -whatever does not work with gmail but it works with intigriti .
