The schools are broken up, its a nice day, but children are not out playing
As I walk the dogs I notice something, children are not out playing.
When I was a child we would be out all day long during the holidays.
Perhaps children have been fed so much fear they are too scared to go outside. Indeed the local schools used to put fear into children by forcing them to wear hi viz jackets to walk in the woods, that perhaps to now play without lots of safety gear is for too scary.
I remember years ago one night collecting conkers for my friends child (who people tell me is seen often taking drugs). His mum looked at me with fear as they are dangerous and children need goggles to play and I must take them away.
These children that are made safe seem to now have a fear of going out and exercising, become obese, develop mental health problems, turn to drug and alcohol use.
