Nikki, rule #1 with Bitcoin, don't store anything on exchanges!!! (lookup Mtgox, Quadriga, Cryptopia, BTC-e, FTX, etc etc)
If you are knowledgeable and comfortable to store your coins on non custodial wallets like Electrum, Trezor, Ledger etc, that'd be best. (if you do this, you MUST be sure to backup properly!! Can't stress this enough)
But I don't understand what you mean about Paxful, they are closing???
