I knew friends who were caught up in HerbaLife pyramid scheme and I truly wished this guy would have won.
On the other note - yes - CC companies do dictate what can be seen and anyone who's attempting to get processing knows how difficult that can be if your content and pages aren't to their liking. We also face competitors who knowingly flood the site with bad CC's to hopefully have the processing company mark your site as problematic and take your ability to process away
