I have no idea who is on OF and doesn't make enough to buy groceries. I don't pay attention to bottom feeders - it doesn't add to my revenue in any way. But I am privy to the revenue of a couple very small OF competitors as a whole who has mostly nobody models on there, and they could probably buy a couple small grocery stores.
There's a 7 figure market that exists just to do shout outs on OF / IG / Twitter for models. The public facing ones like Sophie Dee's platform, then what occurs strictly in DM's / e-mail.
I have personal friends outside of the industry whose significant others have sold used panties on Reddit in between jobs for pretty serious coin.
Then there's the fact that if you want any of the 3-400 or so top OF models to move to your platform, you're going to pay anywhere from $100k - $2-3 million upfront (depending on their reach), then a pretty decent cut.. just to guarantee x amount of posts from them.
But yes, the chick that's sorta ok looking (but a goddess in her hometown of Hickville, USA) and only does 3-4 posts every few months + treats potential customers like shit probably can't buy groceries from OF.. or camming.. or anything similar, because of their own personality traits (or lack thereof); not because OF is "hype". That's just woe is me, cry baby shit.
As far as an exact %, who cares? It's definitely not 99% who don't make enough to buy groceries - maybe that's more reflective of who you talk to rather than the operation as a whole.

The question is do you make 6 or 7 figures?
My business is small and I have 3 business partners and 3 employees. (I'm the face most
people see) Prior to our move, my tax returns were on a 6 figure amount.
My point is that unless someone is earning 6 or 7 figures and interacting with others that
do... Then all their talk about some endeavor/venture tends to be a reiteration of the
hype being used to sell it.
So I'll stand behind what I've already said....
99% of the people on OnlyFans don't earn enough in a month to buy groceries.

Well, I'll tell you what..
Here's a hint... I've spent +15 years outside of the United States. I only come back to the
America because of Covid.
Everyone is welcome to do their research on me if they're curious. I like to compartmentalize
things but equally, I'm also not trying to hide.
However, in a way you're partially right.
I'll admit that in way you're right because my career has been focused more on the money
than on the notoriety.
