This is a trick that I suspect few porn makers do these days. The idea is shoot with two cameras. One getting the hard stuff and another moving so you see next to nothing (a very soft core version)....

Common misconception. Very few of the TVX productions were shot like that (Using 2 cameras) simply due to the problems of the second camera man appearing in shot.
Also, the shoestring budgets available from TVX meant that 2 cameramen were not always going to be cost efficient.
What actually happened was an overall longer version was shot that was ever seen. A LOT of softcore was shot at the start, before clothes came fully off and establishing a 'silly story' (Think Mark 'n Randaulf - Shagnasty and Mutely) While the finished product was around half hour, for both a TVX show and a Hardcore Scene, infact around an hour and a halves overall footage would be shot.
Then the TV edit would include the silly story, all the softcore and just have a shot from behind of the anal, where you couldn't see anything, followed by a close up of the girls face, followed by a wider shot from the front, where you still couldn't see the action, but just the guy pumping away behind her etc... That's the one they show on TVX
Same shoot was then used again for DVD / VHS releases (18R and sold in sexshops) where you would have minimal story, more nudity and show more of the anal, but no close ups and no actual insertion.
Final use was another 'Under the counter' cut, which wasn't 18R certified, but basically would be no story and pretty much all the hardcore, all the stuff you couldnt show in an 18R, and very little of the softcore start.
TL:DR
To get three different edits out of a TVX shoot, it was more common to film for longer, and get enough footage to edit 3 different versions than it was to have a second cameraman on most of the shoots, competing for space with the sound guy and lighting guy.
