According to the independent surveys, only about 20% of Russians support the war. And they support it not because they have no access to the real news. That's because they trust Putin only (~20% is a real approval rating of Putin in Russia) and they can not even imagine that Russia started a war on the Ukraine. They are 100% sure it's not a war at all but a very peaceful military operation to free Ukrainians from evil Nazis.
Just look at this board. Open your eyes and you'll see guys like Sarn here. He is one of those who support the war and who support Putin personally. Just FYI Sarn is an official member of Putin's party. Now think: Don't he has an access to the real information? Will your silly WhatsApp message somehow change his mind?

There is always hope. They say that hope is the last to die. I hope that my little contribution to the non Putin propaganda/narrative can help push the opinion of those people who are still on the fence about everything which is happening.
One in three messages I send using WhatsApp receives a reply. Sometimes neutral sometimes warm. Multiple that by the tens of thousands that I hope are using this little tool, I can only hope that it reaches a daughter or son of those closest to Putin's inner circle.
My current go to message bring sent is:
Здравствуйте, мы не знакомы, но я решил написать вам, потому что постоянно читаю о войне в Украине. Как сейчас живется в России? Что вы слышите по телевизору о войне? Как ты? I am Alex from the United States. Watch video: https://youtu.be/4e1BndTE6Lg
