They are getting a little too close for comfort to Poland. Missile attack today almost on Polish border.

I really cant see China wanting to get too involved, its too big a risk for them.
Just look at the numbers. The west (US, EU, UK, Canada, Austrailia, Japan and others) is probably well over 1 billion people. Thats 1 billion customers that they would potentially be cut off from if we sanctioned China vs around 150 million Russians.
Thats a LOT to risk just to save Putin. And even if they did decide to help, they know the Russian economy is going to collapse one way or another in the next few months
Plus I think if they were going to come out in support of Putin, they would have done it by now
