lol, I'm such a chick, my friends mean everything to me. esp since I can't see my fam (thanks covid, no way I'm gonna risk the health of my 70-something parents catching the rona on a plane)
I think there's a cultural element to male loneliness, that article def doesn't apply in the Caribbean. men in the islands spend a lot of time together, whether it's playing football, going to the beach, playing dominoes or just shooting the shit on the street corner. my ex was the most anti-social person I've ever known, but even he played football with his friends almost every weekend
the topic is def more relevant to North America. interesting article. I think the best advice is to just get out of the house. more difficult with curfews and lockdowns (and our jobs) but can be done, I'd argue should be, as isolation is def not make for health or happiness for anyone
