Even if there were rumours all along this year, these domains were acquired exactly on the date Facebook officially announced its plans to transition to Metaverse. Before that day, there weren't official names for these platforms yet.
From that date on, other companies such as Google, Microsoft, Tencent, Nvidia, Epic Games and Roblox have announced their plans of investing in the idea of the Metaverse.
Personally, I think its value and prices can only increase in the following years. Especially, if these domains are related to the adult industry which should be quite interested in what will become the next version of the internet.
