He went on to say that the internet consumes 8% of all electricity output in the country...which he stated is one of the primary single uses of electricity.

My home is all electric...listed below in priority order are the primary users of electricity.

1. Summer Time...Air Conditioner

2. Winter Time...Furnace

3. Stove

4. Dryer

5. Hot Water Heater

6. Washer

7. Refrigerator

8. Micellaneous Appliances...TV's...Stereos...Microwave...Coffee Maker...DVD player's...etc.

9. PC

Since he made the stupid statement that your home PC is the primary user of electricity other than your refrigerator...I assume that he is also wrong about the internet consuming 8% of electricity...and being one of the primary uses of electricity.

Maybe a recall...for stupidity is in order in the State of Louisiana.
Sorry, your wrong. An average PC has a 350-Watt power supply and runs for 6 hours a day (i have 5 computers that run 24/7. Then add the montior and all the other little goodies (printer, cabel modems and other shit). The computer should be 2nd on that list unless you have a electric water heater and electric heat....why would your furnace use a lot of power? My power bill went up 125% when I added all my computers and left them on all the time.

How often do you use your washer, your dryer, your stove? Tops an hour each a day.
