If the question was "Are you sexually attracted to women of color?", it would not be offensive. That is a more kind way of exploring one's preferences.

But the way the question was phrased frames a whole racial/gender group as a target that is worthy or unworthy of the questioner's sexual aggressions.

That's derogatory and laced with supremacist overtones.

Or perhaps in the vernacular of the questioner:

"It's a fucking rude way of asking".
