Actually it's getting worse. Computer Science is the only field of engineering where the % of women has been declining for the past decade or two, and now its down to the level it was in the 70's.
Something makes computer science different than other engineering fields somehow.
On a second note, amongst all of the computer science people in the industry that have a college degree other than computer science, most of them have a degree in Music!
