I am a devout liberal, and I have always thought that it would be O.K. by me, until this last week something that I saw changed my mind. Do not misunderstand this to think I am against gays, (this means you too squirt)


Here is what happended that changed my mind:

I was at my Gym, it is not a chain Gym. Rather it is a family oriented upperscale Gym. There are always a lot of ...welll hmmm lets call them the beautiful people...you know the people I am talking about, the ones that always look good, and have a little extra pocket change to throw around... trophy wifes, etc.. etc.. (I know you california people can relate)

I was doing my normal , Yoga then a little trip to the steam room, and a dip in the jacuzzi.

Thats where I had the vision of all the future turmiol that could, and would be caused if a blanket yes was the answear to same sex marriages.

I believe that so many new rules , and regulations would have to be enforced, that it would not be an easy task.

I was sitting in the steam room minding my own business, relaxing. There were two other gentlemen in the steam room also.
This is not uncommon, as the place is usually quite full. I looked up to see that one of the guys, was rubbing the other guys back.

I must admit, this had me quite dumfounded at what I was seeing take place in a very hetro establishment. (don't get me wrong, there are a lot of gay people there too) I just mean that this is a family establishment with a very large hetro presence to it.

I was thinking to myself, wow if a straight guy had a woman in the same position it would be outrage also. This is a public place!

I then moved to the Jacuzzi , only to find that the same 2 guys followed me into the jacuzzi (not following me, just came in after I did)

One sat down, the other then moved between his legs and started picking the hair on his partners chest! Then I noticed the one guy got out of the jacuzzi, and had a hard on going! He just stood there and admired the other naked men in the showers. I could not believe my eyes!

If this was to be a male / female situation it would be battling out in the court rooms for years to come.

So if the same sex marriage was to be allowed, how would you stop this type of behavior from taking place on a regular basis?

Would you need to build a seperate gay locker facility, like you do for male/female patrons now? would gay people be happy with this situation? or would the complaints of ineaquality make it a cost prohibitive thing for business to do?

What about this? should I , or the people in the showers that were being ogled by this man with his hard on raging, Sue the gym for sexual harrasment?

What about the hetro guys, that feel violated by this man, the same as a woman would if it were a straight guy doing this to them in the showers?

I would like to know all of your input on this, as it is something that has put my liberal stance in question...as to what I would vote on this issue now.
