I used a PC before I ever used a Mac. I hated using computers, though I liked the idea of the things I could do. Then I started playing with Macs at a local college, and realized how it *could* be. The first computer I owned myself was a Mac.
Years later, I worked in IT Support. There were 350 windows machines and four macs, so basically I did Windows support. That operating system is crap. I don't care about the UI, that's a preference-- but the stability and architecture was a joke.
And frankly, it isn't getting better. Interesting fact: Most enterprise locations stay one generation behind on Windows. For instance, many are now using 2000 rather than going to XP. The reason is simple-- more than one generation behind, and recent aps don't work as well, but each generation gets more bloated and unstable.
