Paying out dividends is not preventing a company from growing. If that was the case, they need a different CEO and then they have completely different problems.

Not only that. But it means that the shares you a buying is actually helping the company to have more capital for R&D. Not true for Gamestop etc. Those are privately held shares that are being traded.
Trust me I also have a lot of shares that don't pay dividends because of the upside that is on the way.

Hotel chains
Vacation companies. Personally staying away from Air BNB but that's by choice.
