In private, the Lord of Covid Denial told Bob Woodward that it actually is a deadly virus many times worse than the flu ... but he doesn't want to say so publicly and cause a "panic" before an election, so he called it a hoax and then downplayed it publicly because of his legendary altruism.
His worshippers, who have been cheering on Dear Leader's every public dismissive word about this total fake pandemic, are curently awaiting orders on how to support two diametrically opposed attitudes at the same time.
The memo should come soon ... just do like you've done on every other topic for the past three and a half years. Goes something like this ... fake news (but there's tapes) ... someone doctored the tapes (the tapes aren't doctored) ... ok, he had good reason to lie (what?) ... liberals made him (how?) ... the deep state (obviously) ... he's fighting for the common people (aww, bless).
