hmmmm
There's some that did make some money with the affiliate model but it was shut down super fast, EAZE the delivery platform was giving out $35 per order placed using their in-house affiliate system, even on trials and people were banking on it, so much they were going to concerts and passing out cards with aff codes on the back. Was short-lived but people were making bank giving out free weed in LA
Internet-side is stuck because of the regs and banking, despite state classification. It's still considered a controlled substance, so that pretty much takes everything off the table. The exception is pure CBD products but it's still a grey area. Most CBD companies have some sort of affiliate program or on larger mainstream linksharing programs but the % is very low
The other way of taking advantage of the boom still exists now which is just ancillary consulting like setting up CMS, aff programs, inventory for shops and brands and products...weed is very porn friendly and open-minded, a few people on this board and the industry do this now. Its a tough sell but can be done...one of the few industries that love people from the adult background (most of them) because of the common "fringe" industry perception
