Yes the catholic church has been embroiled in all kinds of fucked up shit but to pretend they don't do any good is crazy.
The Church runs 5,500 hospitals, 18,000 clinics, 16,000 homes for the elderly and those with special needs, with 65 percent of them located in underdeveloped and developing countries.
What other religion is doing that much good?

So that's a lot of charity and a lot of people that rely on them.
But besides all that, I bet you don't have a negative thing about islam who is very close in size to the catholic church but doesn't do a fraction of the charity work. Oh and in 2019 muslims committed 1724 Islamic attacks in 53 countries, in which 10109 people were killed and 10512 injured.
But you won't dare say boo about that.
