If you're looking to host a site aimed at the United Kingdom, it's probably best to host it in the Netherlands. The delivery speed difference is negligible and you'll have Dutch laws to deal with, not UK. That doesn't mean you need to avoid UK laws, whenever they are passed, on age verification, but might save you some hassle on content restrictions.
