Guess VVT, SCR catalysts, turbochargers, gasoline direct injection and electronic fuel injection are all ancient technologies and there have been no improvements of efficiency at all. That's why new cars fit the strict Euro 6 norm and consume 4-5 litres per 100 km instead of 10 as they did 20 years ago ... because they all use ancient technologies.
