true real friends, 3 plus family of which my best friend my dad died and only one sister i consider a true friend, i got rid of the hangers on long ago. my old man used to tell me this when i was younger and i had all these 'friends' from various stages in my life who i still kept in contact with, that the true friends in your life can be counted on one hand. he was right. most people are acquaintances, 'friends' of convenience, guess it depends on how people define the word 'friend'. I know people who make some kind of hobby or competition out of collecting 'friends' to fill up their address books. Like 13 year olds do, i have soooooooooooo many friends. Morons.

I see my mother's generation dying off and these ladies rate the funerals by how many people attend. Bizarre. I could care less if 2 people attended my funeral, throw me in a Glad bag and throw me in the dumpster behind Arby's.
