While this may seem harsh, don't take it personal: Nobody cares. It isn't '06-'09 anymore. The utopian business environment you desire has to be
earned and created as opposed to falling in your lap like it did in the 90's.
And to answer your earlier question (what kind of free sites), I can't tell you details for obvious reasons, but sites that present
added value to the user do well. Unique content, a quality user experience and curation are still sought after and appreciated.
