And lets face it - every Tarantino movie is worth watching. Even his old ones are great. The only QT movie I didn't like was Kill Bill Volume 2. It was boring as fuck. Deathrpoof, while it's just 99.9% girl-talk, is 10 times more interesting than KBv2.
I very rarely like follow up movies. the exceptions are Bourne, Bond, Lord of the Rings and a few others. My problem is the acting has to be better than the special effects and today too much relies on special effects.

There are some good movies that maybe don't make a lot of money and some poor ones, IMO, that make too much. The real problem is the industry is controlled by number crunchers who would rather pour good money into repeats than risk it on something else. There will never be another Life of Brian, Holy Grail, Ghandi, Doctor Zhivago, Lawrence of Arabia, How the West was won, Airplane!, Casablanca, 2001: A Space Odyssey, etc.

How many of these films would be shot today as a first off? https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/li...ods-100-818374

https://www.imdb.com/list/ls053826112/ Most recent 2013 the rest a lot earlier.
