This is the reverse though.. UAE doesn't wanna claim it because the boat owners were smuggling shit.. I bet you anything they were running shit for Iran and had a "falling out" over something so Iran took it..
Keep in mind Iran is under sanctions so there is probably a lot of money for shady operators to make running stuff in and out, but for whatever reason Iran decided to take this one..
