The reason there are so many homeless in southern Cali is because many travel there on purpose to be homeless.
Not because of benefits or anything like that, but because there are no real temperature extremes.
The weather stays roughly the same year long so they can comfortably live outdoors. It's the same reason so many people vandwell there as well because the weather is pretty much perfect.
There of course is the segment of people who cant afford to live there but the homeless population is greatly inflated by already homeless people going there for the weather.
They dont get many benefits if any because there are too many. So it's not some Republican fantasy of Democrats giving them a free ride socialist state.. it's the weather..
It's the same reason Republican run FL has shitloads of homeless. FL is the east cost equivalent of southern Cali for the homeless. The weather isnt as good because it gets too hot but they'd rather be in FL in the winter than the north.
