A little update...
I went ahead and bought the premium version of Quicken for around $48. It's a little bit clunky to setup and you can't use the web version unless you have the client based version working as well which makes me think they just haven't caught up with technology.
The reports themselves are useful, slightly better than Mint.com, not near as powerful as QuickBooks.
You do have more control over the transactions then Mint. Organizing, renaming, splitting, grouping, etc. You can also easily pull up reports based on those organizations.
Ultimately I decided that I will be getting a refund on Quicken and purchase a Simple Start QuickBooks subscription for myself. It's much more expensive than Quicken but much more powerful and since I already know the software, it's a no-brainer at this point as I'm not completely happy with the Quicken reports since I'm familiar with QuickBooks reports.
I would say that it should be fine for most people and it is a better tool than Mint.com
