The decision to make the change is not easy and two years of mandatory gender dysphoria counseling is needed before surgery can be considered. They need to be sure before proceeding. At least that’s the guidelines of the USA. But several people have gone back to their original gender. I always wonder about insurance and paying for the reversal. If they spend fifty grand for surgery, will they then spend another fifty grand for reversing it?
Cure indicates something needs to be fixed. Cross dressing is an escape from your real life to a temporary place of happiness. I worked with such people and most of the men were not attractive as men. But dressing allowed them to be sexy and pretty and get attention.
A good friend was overweight, balding, had acne scars and felt ugly. As a gay man he had no dates. But when dressed, he was beautiful and sexy and had dates.
