It wasn't poor sportsmanship. Sure, maybe they could have celebrated less, but the rules of the World Cup include ranking teams based on how many goals they score and margin of victory. Everyone who agrees to play in the World Cup knows the rules and they know where their team stands as far as talent and how they match up against others.
I am reminded of something Mike Wilbon once said when he was asked if the Patriots running up the score on the Dolphins was bad sportsmanship. He said, "No, if you don't want to be embarrassed, play better."
