They can detect water, plants, trees, etc. In fact they have and the evidence isn't good on advanced civilisation.

Who say so? They could have exhausted all their own resources and would need to travel the universe to exploit others.

There is life on other planets, my point is. Is there civilised life advanced enough to travel the universe?

So far scientists are looking and they have found no evidence of civilised life. But keep dreaming that out there are new worlds like in the Star Wars and Star Trek.

Sorry, but they are yet not able to detect plant life on other planets. There are theories on how they might be able to but we are not yet capable of it. Nor have they discounted life on any of the planets they have found in the goldilock zone (which is less than a grain of sand of what is out there). There are estimated to be over 40 billion planets in the habitable zone in our galaxy alone. With another 100 billion galaxies it is a mathematical certainty there is life out there, my guess is in abundance and every type of world imaginable. With all these planets why in the hell would aliens have to come all the way to ours to steal our helium, or gold, or whatever it is you think only exists here. EVERY element on our planet is abundant throughout the galaxy. There is nothing special here.
