It’s pretty disgusting to think about people trying on bathing suits and underwear after taking off their own underwear, if they wear them. Rashes, infections, hair, lint plus bodily functions leave traces behind.
If the stores charged a fee for returning these items, say five dollars, so they can wash them for resale, I’d bet less people would buy them and return them.
About twenty years ago I went to RI for a leather coat. My mom tried on a suede jacket and found a twenty dollar bill in the zippered inner pocket. She turned it in and they said no one reported it lost but within thirty days it would be hers. We went back for the jacket and twenty dollars. The manager gave her another twenty percent off for the twenty! The coat was half+price as he knew it had been worn. I think it was Burlington Coat. Forty dollars for a one hundred dollar coat due to honesty.
But coats are worn over clothing. I look at that picture and got the heeby jeebys!
